With cybersecurity threats on the rise, companies across industries faced a growing need for skilled cybersecurity professionals. Instead of waiting for talent to emerge, we took a proactive approach.
We built a closed cohort designed to train and prepare a diverse cybersecurity workforce. By partnering with Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) and Women in Technology (WIT), we sourced a pipeline of entry-level candidates from the veteran and military spouse community, providing them with custom, instructor-led, immersive training and industry-recognized certifications to help them kickstart their cybersecurity careers as SOC analysts.
The Challenge:
- A severe shortage of skilled cybersecurity professionals
- High turnover rates and competition for talent
- A shortage of candidates with hands-on experience
- Rising security threats and compliance pressures
- A lack of diverse cybersecurity talent pipelines
Training Overview
- Virtual SOC Environment
- Linux Systems & Adminsitration

The Outcome
This closed cohort model successfully bridged the cybersecurity talent gap by providing enterprises with job-ready professionals trained in real-world security tools and frameworks. Employers gained immediate access to skilled cybersecurity talent, reducing time-to-productivity and addressing workforce shortages. All nine deployed participants completed the contract successfully, seven of which were converted to full time employees, proving the effectiveness of our instructor-led, immersive training environment. This scalable approach not only enhanced enterprise security teams but also provided meaningful career opportunities for female veterans and military spouses in cybersecurity.
